The Rebbe

This website was inspired by, Rabbi Menachem Mendel  Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Rebbe means teacher. Rabbi M M schneerson is the seventh in a prestigious line of Chasidic Rebbes. He is known worldwide as simply "The Rebbe" --- a Rebbe for any person in the world.

From the time the Rebbe came to America in 1941, people of all faiths and all walks of life traveled from afar to seek his advice and hear his wisdom. Politicians, civil rights activists, writers, scientists, religious leaders, scholars, business people and the common man and woman lined up at his door for many hours every week. Sacks of mail arrived daily, with requests for guidance and blessings from every corner of the world. His students compiled over 40 volumes of his books which he edited and annotated.

In 1983, on the occasion of his 80th birthday, the U.S. Congress proclaimed the Rebbe's birthday, "Education Day, USA" and awarded the Rebbe the National Scroll of Honor.

The concepts presented in KabbalahCast are based on the wisdom and teachings of the Rebbe.

"Whenever I would see the Rebbe, he touched the depth in me. That is true of every person who came to see the Rebbe. Somehow, when the person left, he or she felt that they had lived deeper and higher, on a higher level, on a deeper sense of life and a quest for life and meaning." --- Elie Wiesel, Noble Laureate
